World famous surf spots
The Atlantic coast near Agadir is home to world-renowned beaches for surfing and kitesurfing using a parasailer.
Agadir's climate makes it possible to practice these sports all year round. Better, the conditions which reign on these spots are regular, so that it is possible to surf there at least four to five hours per day (if one has the necessary physical condition...).
The most accessible spots (see the large detailed map below): Devil's Rock and Banana Beach, Boilers, Killer Point, Anchor Point or even Hash Point, just over an hour from the Garden of Stars.
Further north, are also recommended: Immesouane (80 km from Agadir all the same) and Essaouira (170 km by a winding road). South, Mirleft, Ifni and Plage Blanche, although further away, also benefit from favorable conditions.
Board rental
The website of WannaSurf details the characteristics of these spots, and in particular if these are intended for experienced surfers or for all.
For equipment rental, contact, for example, Aloha surf camp, which offers boards at €10 per day, as well as "Discovery" or "Week-end" packages.
Surfing, but also kitesurfing
Kitesurfing, sometimes called flysurfing, involves sliding on a surfboard while being pulled by a kite, which functions like a wing. Agadir Surfing organizes introductory lessons: €30 for one hour, €150 for 6 hours.

Taghazout among the best spots in the world to learn
The American site Grind TV named Taghazout the third best spot in the world to learn to surf.

According to the Californian site, half of Scandinavian surfers and a third of German surfers have learned to practice this sport near Agadir. He notes that the advantage of the place is that it allows surfers of several levels to practice their sport, offering more or less difficult spots. GrindTV particularly recommends the beginning of autumn, when the waves are not too high and the temperature is still high.
Other recommended locations are Waikiki in Hawaii, Surfer's Point in Barbados, Nosara in Costa Rica and Byron Bay in Australia.
