Here is an excellent table: the restaurant of Riad Villa blanche, in Agadir. Under the baton of chef Romain Favre, this address pleasantly combines French and Moroccan gastronomy, in an authentic riad decor, slightly outdated, although recently built.

The little gem that is the Riad Villa blanche is located just above the big hotels like the two Sofitels, on the bend of the Robinson Club Agadir. It is above all a 28-room hotel intended for relaxation through cocooning. Four childhood friends, Elisabeth, Gérard, Michel and Yvan, created it from scratch. 

Atmosphere of 1001 nights

The restaurant is generally accessed from the south. In the evening, the path is marked out by immaculate lanterns accompanied by white roses, which contribute to the atmosphere of 1001 nights. We cross the bar, which offers all possible spirits, in an atmosphere of luxury without ostentation, which is the hallmark of the house.

The dining room presents itself as a place with amber tones and a Moorish atmosphere that one might think straight out of a novel unfolding its plot in Cairo or Fez.  All that's missing is Agatha Christie. But perhaps the novelist is hiding behind a colonnade and Hercule Poirot on the lookout near a silky sheet...

Inventiveness at the rendezvous

The plate combines local products and refined creations. The inventiveness is there. We tasted a calf's liver, the taste memories of which have accompanied us for a long time. Seasonal flavors are brought to their climax when it comes to fish and desserts.

However, there have been reports in the past of a disturbing irregularity, apparently due to the departure of a butler. 

The service is attentive and friendly. It could sometimes be more professional. The prices of the White Villa are quite correct given its high services. 

Serenity

In the central patio where you will be made to wait (long enough) if you have not booked, we appreciate the central fountain, guarded by two bronze greyhounds, which contribute to the desired serenity.

In summer, around the swimming pool, you will be offered menus for light meals such as a selection of salads, but also more solid dishes, such as a veal chop magnified by the chef. Or even snacks and sandwiches at any time of the day. At the spa bar: selection of international mineral waters and Moroccan infusions.
