Riad El Aissi: charm and simplicity

Reachable in 45 minutes from the Jardin aux Etoiles (see Google Maps below), THERiad El Aissi is located at the exit of Taroudant, on the highway side of Marrakech. It can be reached either by the express road or by the National road, which is shorter.

The restaurant is located both inside the riad and outside, in the magnificent garden planted with many species of flowers and fruits. The panorama over the Atlas is like no other.

 

The place radiates the warm presence of the owner, Latifa El Aissi. Family owned and renovated, the riad also offers a dozen functional rooms.

 

Excellent value

 

The ratio between quality and price is extremely favorable. The bill rarely exceeds 100 to 150 dh per person (10 to 15 euros).

 

All the classics of Moroccan cuisine are there: Moroccan salad (10 dh), tajine of chicken, goat or beef (100 dh), couscous (50 dh), pastilla with seafood or chicken (50 dh), minced beef or turkey skewers (50 dh). Note two dishes planned for two to four people: baked fish (150 dh) and leg of goat. 

 

These dishes are prepared simply, without fuss. Friendly service. No alcohol. We will preferably choose a shaded table, to spend a good moment of relaxation.
