Jazzawiya concert hall in Agadir
Jazzawiya is an intimate concert hall established for 35 years in Agadir and to which a new breath has just been given. This underground space is dedicated to art and music of all genres: folklore Berber, gnaoua, fusion, rock, house, electro, hip-hop or even r&b. At rue de Meknes, in the district known as Battoir (former slaughterhouses), 50 minutes from the Jardin aux Etoiles.
Jazzawiya invites musicians from Souss Massa to give concerts there and has thus allowed the emergence of new artists, named Mehdi Nasouli, Foulane Bouhsine, Hicham Issawi, Gnaoua Family or Zawyia Family. Guests sometimes come from elsewhere.
Watch the videos above. The first shows the improbable and at the same time very fashionable decoration of this underground cellar. The second allows you to get acquainted with the atmosphere. The third : Azar Band, a group of young people from the city of Tiznit, united by their love of music.
